My Musical Journey
Music has been a part of my life since I was a child. I started playing guitar when I was 12 years old after hearing a "certain" lead guitar playing killer leads in my favorite band at the time. I decided then "That's what I want to do" and have been obsessed with music ever since.
I've performed solo and in many bands over the years playing a wide variety of music including Acoustic, Pop, Folk, Rock, Blues, Jazz, Funk, Country, Christian, Praise & Worship, and Fusion in a wide range of music venues.
All these different genres and styles of music helped me to appreciate the unique qualities of each, along with the similarities they share influencing my own style.
These experiences and influences from all the different music I've played comes out in my songwriting and playing. I truly don't write or confine my music to any specific genre or style. I write and play from my heart, so whether I'm writing a new song, playing with fellow musicians, improvising, hanging in the studio, or whatever - instead of focusing on the techniques or theory (although BOTH are VERY important, and I use them throughout my musical journey and process), I use everything at my disposal to express the emotion in the music, the lyrics, and even my own emotion(s) I may be experiencing at the time.
My "musical credo" I go by, and have shared with band members, fellow musicians, and students while I was a music instructor is this...

My Creative Process
My music is a reflection of my life experiences and passion. I'm constantly experimenting with different chord progressions, melodies, approaches, and I let my intuition, experience, and emotions guide me when it comes to songwriting. I believe that the best music comes from the heart and is not contained in a "box."
My Live Performances
I love performing live and thrive on the energy of the audience. I've played in various venues in several cities and states around the US, from small coffee shops to large state fairs, to live performances aired around the world. My live performances are always filled with passion, energy, and emotion.
